Awards? What’s the verdict? Too many? Meaningless? Invaluable? A rip off (in some cases)? Proud moment? Best thing ever?
We always thought, to coin the phrase by Ricky Gervais (when presenting at the Golden Globes some years ago) “No one cares about your award as much as you do”.
However, we think we might be turning slightly! Not least because we are up for one!!!
So yes, this is our very back to front announcement that we have been Shortlisted for Professional Supplier of the Year in the 2018 Negotiator Awards - the 'do' is held on the 30th November 2018 in London and sounds like (whatever the outcome) it will be a good chance to catch up with industry peers.
The reason why we are particularly proud of this (bit of a turn around we know) is because in our industry it feels like one of the most genuine awards - mainly because it has a varied judging panel and is free to enter!! So many awards are “bought”, come with princely “entry fees” or require expensive “marketing packs” and the like - it just feels so disingenuous!
Maybe we are mad - maybe customers don’t care about how you acquired the award, just that you have lots of them?
Are genuine customer reviews more important?
Fundamentally, any business must look to differentiate itself, but when its such a noisy "awards industry" it feels quite difficult to see the wood for the trees, but that may just be an internal opinion, maybe it is different when seeing things through the eyes of the "general public" (I feel a Facebook poll coming on!!)

The jury is still out, BUT we know if we win, it’s been fair, square and with our integrity in tact - and that means more to us than a full trophy cabinet!
